The road to peace in the Southern Philippines has been an arduous one, marred by the blood of men, women, and children regardless of religion. Philippine presidents since the Marcos administration has in one way or another, had to deal with the unrest and conflict in Mindanao; nonetheless, lasting peace has yet to come.
