ASUS EeePC 1015PX to go
I recently went on to road trips around Luzon and accompanying me on my journey was a trusted gadget worthy to be part of an arsenal of any student/traveller – the . TechLab entrusted me with a machine to compliment my nomadic adventures and I lavished myself with the mobile and compact capabilities of this netbook.
My first impression.
Having the first look at the netbook, the impression that immediately impacts was its compact, seashell-like profile. With measurements of 262 x 178 x 23.6 ~36.4 mm, the netbook can snugly fit in small bags and in between books. The sloped outline sported by the computer is designed for ergonomic typing and comfort of the user.
Surrounding the netbook are various peripherals which satisfy the needs of any user. With 3 USB slots, an SD card slot for extra storage, a LAN slot, and a VGA slot for connections with an LCD, the 1015PX is one handy dandy piece of machinery. The netbook is supported rubber contacts to prevent movement making it a stable platform for typing. Aside from the diverse features, the PC1015PX is also available in a variety of matte or glossy colours.
Unfolding the device reveals a 10.1 inch LCD display, chiclet keyboard, and a trackpad. The chiclet keyboard is spacious and comfortable to type on even on long stretches of time.
Complimenting it is the decently sized trackpad which is accompanied by a single click button. Its fun and comfortable typing in this netbook as the buttons are conveniently protruded. Also, for a netbook, the surface is spacious giving more room for the movement of fingers.

The netbook boasts a high-performance dual-core atom processor, making it one of the fastest processors in netbooks nowadays. Despite having two processors running inside it, the netbook has no problems with heat whatsoever. It comes with a large HDD for huge storage of videos, photos, and music. The already apt 1GB memory can be further increased for fast computing.
Although having powerful components inside, it efficiently functions with up to 11 hours of battery life. Software wise, the 1015PX also comes with the package programs from ASUS and trial versions of Office 2011 and Trend Micro. Given its hardware capabilities, the netbook is also capable in running low-end games. All in all, this little baby packs a punch in terms of power and usability.
Basically, the EeePC 1015PX is similar to netbooks currently found in the market. But what separates it from other netbooks is the ergonomic design, its processing power, and a good battery life to boot. It’s handy, beautiful, and compact.
