Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) President, Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong, congratulated the Philippine Government for starting the vaccination program on 01 March 2021. The program was led by Vaccine Czar Gen. Carlito Galvez, Jr., Food and Drug Administration Director General Eric Domingo, Secretary Harry Roque, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benhur Abalos, Testing Czar Vince Dizon, and the doctors of Philippine General Hospital led by Medical Director Dr. Gerardo Legaspi.

Dr. Liong expressed his utmost gratitude to China, who has been Philippines’ long time trade partner, for sending out 600,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines on 28 February 2021 via a special military transport plane at the Villamor Airbase. Dr. Liong mentioned that this vaccine program will boost the economic confidence of the investors and consumers.

Sinovac is the third COVID-19 vaccine brand aside from Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca granted an emergency use authorization (EUA) by the Philippine's Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

I am very hopeful and optimistic that our Philippine economic recovery will start this year,” Dr. Liong said in his speech.
