Since the town hall-style meeting called by the late President Corazon “Cory” Aquino in October 1986, Filipinos have observed the tradition of marking the president’s first 100 days in office. However, the unorthodox President Rodrigo Duterte has, once again, chosen to break tradition by opting to stay silent about his administration’s accomplishments last October 8.

With transcripts of the State of the Nation Address, inaugural speech, and other speeches and news articles as reference, TheLOBBYiST tracked down the President’s sworn promises and partnered these with reported accomplishments from Day 1 to Day 100. Former President Benigno “Noy” Aquino III’s performance in the same period was also examined. Promises vis-a-vis actual accomplishments, who do you think swore it better?
